Tiger Woods Car Accident?

How was the accident of Tiger Woods??

Tiger Woods has had an accident. For more info, see: http://www.brianenglish.com.ar/2009/11/t iger-woods-car-accident.html

In chinese horoscopes there are 12 animals with 5 elements to each animal. So each animal comes around every 12 years but the earth-fire-water-metal-wood elements means that in the year you are born in doesn’t come around again for you until you are 60 years old. Tiger Woods was born a few months after the Wood Tiger making him a Wood Rabbit,…….to be chased?

This happened early this morning (2:30) and wasn’t reported until this afternoon. My guess is he and his wife had a domestic dispute which caused him to drive recklessly out of the drive way. Otherwise, it would have been reported immediately on the news…

He’s going to live.

The news said "possible" charges were pending but didn’t say against whom. You can bet they are still discussing this with his wife as to whether she wants to file charges against him…

"News Flash"

To stear the focus away from both parties as a possible domestic squabble they are now saying his wife actually helped rescue him. Pulled him out of his SUV after breaking the back window with a golf club!"

Surely they could have thought up a better story than this one…

Best Entertainment Laptop ?

I’m in the market for a new laptop.

Things I’m specifically looking for:

- I am big on multi-tasking (work, internet, entertainment)
- I love to watch movies and listen to music (don’t need blu-ray)
- Big Display screen & HI-Def screen resolution
- Speakers (volume and quality)
- I want speed, performance, and display (Above average memory, processor)
- Hard-drive space needs to be above 300 gb.
- Decent battery life (min 4 hours?)
- Wifi Connection

- No Apples/Macs
- Don’t need the graphics and such (non-gamer)

I’m willing to go up to $1000 or close to it

Any suggestions/advice?
In addition, I want one that can be connected to a TV to watch the movies on that (HI Def and everything)

Is this editorial cartoon emblematic of obama's health care reform plans?

I wish I had a link to the cartoon (it was in Today’s Orlando Sentinel), but it shows obama dressed as a Dr. examining a full skeletal xray and he’s pointing at the wallet saying "This needs to be removed" to an accountant standing next to him…the editorial cartoonist totally nailed obama I thought…brilliant…just curious what ya think??? lol
Rich…glad somebody else picked up on the personal attacks…you gotta love those lefties/obamaites…lol…it’s like shooting fish in a barrel.
oops, Ritch…interesting we are both engineers….who would have thunk it…lol

I’m a Systems Software Engineer with the world’s largest defense contractor.

It is, except that under the Obama plan hospitals won’t be able to afford xray machines and despite the access to every American’s open wallet, the program will never have sufficient funding. There is no place in the world where socialized medicine is sufficiently funded and the government is ‘in the black’.

Funny, isn’t it? So many insults deriding how uninformed you are and yet, not a bit of clarifying or informative information. Guess this sort of proves the point that when they can’t respond intelligently, they’re reduced to insult. Congratulations. You’ve won the debate.

NOAH, I hope not because you see, while it is ‘inevitable’ that we’ll have to pay something, a not for profit government plan is NOT cheaper than a private plan. No where in the world is a government plan cheaper than a private plan. I pay $1,500 a month for my insurance. (That right, a month) and yet that is cheaper than paying 2/3s of my income, 8 months worth of my income in taxes to fund the government and its programs. Take what you currently pay in taxes now. Subtract that from what you could make in 8 months, gross. THAT is how much your not for profit government medical insurance will cost you. FACT. It is this way in every nation on earth. I’ve lived under socialized medicine. I know it. This is not a hypothetical. And I’m amazed that you’d be ‘fine’ with that.

Glassy: Yeah, but despite our years of education and the intelligence evident by our occupation and success in a competitive profession, were uneducated rednecks who don’t understand ‘complex issues’. Well, go figure. Hey, gotta go now. The short bus is coming in a few minutes to take me home to my Mom’s house.

Hmmm…somewhat clever ^_^

But not entirely representative of Obama’s health care ambitions. Though I still find it funny.

You’re right, he nailed it! Sure wish you had a link. I’d like to see that cartoon.
pissedoffbastard13 | Jun 23, 2009

Old, old, old joke. I remember it back in the 60s but it was about the emerging HMOs.
piegowdealer | Jun 23, 2009

Sounds rather stupid to me. If you don’t want to address the health care issues in this country just say so. Making fun of President Obama because he does is apparently a vote for the status quo.
quest for truth gal | Jun 23, 2009

What do I think…I think Obama is a doushe bag.
Kool Aid Antidote | Jun 23, 2009

Neither the creator of the cartoon, the editor who chose to print it or you have a clue as to the health plan proposal. You should become more informed on the issue before posting a statement that this is a "brilliant" cartoon.
homegirl | Jun 23, 2009

Funny people don’t realize this healthcare plan will be paid for out of our own pockets. Fits Obama well.
bendover | Jun 23, 2009

He is in over his head, the Clintons failed when they tried.
We really need health care reform but its going to take much smarter people than they to do it
jim020347 | Jun 23, 2009

Yes I think it represents his plan very well, it will be very expensive for the taxpayers.
Kevin | Jun 23, 2009

I think that your attempt at intelligence has failed you miserable.
coffee.taylor | Jun 23, 2009

Another cheap shot. In the next several years employer paid health insurance is going to go away. Even now it’s a take it or leave it proposition…so much for ‘choice’. Very few wage earners with a family can afford a private plan…even a bare bones plan. Yes, people are going to have to pay in, but a non-profit federal plan will cost a lot less simply because more people will be a part of the plan. A federal plan is part of the future because there’s no real alternative. It’s time for the right wing radio dummies and the Foxniks to stop spoofing the ditto-heads with their BS about ’socialized medicine’…it’s just another insurance company that will be cheaper and more accessible. No kiddin’!

Wii for christmas or blackfriday?

Hi guys im going to get a Wii soon and i just wanted to know if i should get the Wii on Blackfirday Which is the Day after tommorow or on christmas. like when is it going to be cheaper.

Probably if it is during Black friday, it would be a little cheeper than the normal price, ($199.00) but if it is black friday, there might be more people shopping and it might be hard to come buy. Christmas might be a little hard too, but the wii has been out for a while now, so, stores have been getting more in…
Rudy | Nov 25, 2009

Do your research. I just found out that using the wii board may burn your wii out. Also playing games like Rockband or guitar hero may do the same thing. Certain games like Super smash bros can also damage the wii.. I have to send it out and pay 100 bucks to get it fixed. I think I am going to sell off the rest and get PS3
Fritz33 | Nov 25, 2009

Pay no attention to the other answerers whom say that you should not get a Wii, as they are wrong. I would recommend getting it on neither day and buying somewhere in between.
benpettit69 | Nov 25, 2009

I have checked most of the sales for black friday and the wii seems to be $199.00 at all the major retail stores. Walmart has some discounts on wii bundles.

religiously speaking, any advice for how to stay awake at work on black friday?

i was up late wednesday night because i didnt get off until 11, and i had to prepare things for thanksgiving. yesterday i didnt get up until 3 pm, and because of that, i wasnt tired at a reasonable time, despite taking sleeping pills. its now 208 am on black friday, and i have to go to work as a cashier at walmart at 430. i work a full shift, and wont be off until 2 pm. that means i will have virtually been awake for 24 hours. theres no use in going to sleep now—im a heavy sleeper, and once im out, there isnt anything or anyone getting me up until ive had at least 10 if not more hours of sleep. i dont drink coffee. how do i stay awake today?

A line of speed should sort that out
Whatacrackup | Nov 27, 2009

go out for a morning walk to stay alert until work and buy those 6 hour energy shots, drink half then once you start losing the energy drink the second half. it works great for me. good luck to you and i hope you don’t get a whole lot of crappy customers

Pack of cards… another late night for me…

Dubai has been in trouble for a long time – debt driven expansion and property boom (sounds familiar) & this will impact on all other emerging markets as fears increase over more soveriegn (country) defaults. Dubai has long been funded (or borrowed from!) Kuwait. It’s just so hard getting real information out of these countries & their property developers.

This is just a knock on effect from the financial crisis last year- nobody has got any money left and property bubbles are going pop everywhere with the resulting trickle down effect into all sorts of business- and unemployment of course.

This is just the first hand dealt in the coming "Depression Of The Teens" as opposed to the last one, the "Depression Of The Thirties".

Economist Harry Dent figured out and wrote in "The Great Boom Ahead" that recessions and depressions are caused by the dominant generation passing it’s peak spending years, which is ages 45 to 50. By then their kids are out of the house and out of their wallets. They start saving for retirement. Savers don’t boost the economy.

The Great Depression was caused by the Henry Ford generation passing peak spending and it was cured by the Bob Hope generation moving into their peak spending years.

The recession of the 70s was caused by the Bob Hope generation passing peak spending, and it was cured in the 80s by the Boomers entering the run up to their spending years.

Our current situation is caused by the Baby Boomers passing their peak spending and it will be cured in about 8 to 12 years by the Echo generation entering their peak spending.

New Deals and stimulus packages have only transitory effects.
