 A Dog’s Breakfast (2007)
IMDB rating: 6.70
Plot: If you’ve never been good at anything in your life, why would murder be any different? A Dog’s Breakfast is a head smacking, bone breaking, fiance bashing romp, about a family that just loves themselves to pieces. Patrick has always had a somewhat combative relationship with his little sister Marilyn. But when she brings home her new TV star fiance Ryan, it’s all out war. When Patrick fails to drive a wedge between the happy couple, he reaches for sharper instruments. Every family has a few skeletons in the closet; A Dog’s Breakfast is the nightmarishly funny mess Patrick makes when he tries to add another to his.

I am dieting and exercising…but not losing! What am I doing wrong!?
My goal is to loose 30 pounds by June. I started my diet and exercise regime 2 weeks ago and have not lost 1 pound!! ARGH
This is what my days have been like so far:
Get up a 9am and take a 30 minute hard core power walk with my dog
Breakfast: bowl of honey bunches of oats with skim milk(measured out to correct serving size) and an apple
Work 10:30-3pm, I am a dog walker, so I am walking and moving all day, just not at a super fast pace.
Lunch: Chicken in either a wrap with lettuce, light mayo, and a sprinkle of cheese on a spinach tortilla, or chicken cut up in a salad with light ranch dressing and a bag of one of those 100 calorie chips
Dinner: Varies, but usually some sort of lean meat with mushrooms, broccoli, and a salad
Before bed, another 30-45 minute intense power walk with my dog.
I was addicted to soda and junk food. I have replaced drinking Dr. Pepper all day with those sugar free Crystal Light to go mixes. I try really REALLY hard not to snack in between meals, and when I do it’s something healthy like grapes, or a weight watchers cheese stick.
My mom is doing weight watchers and exercising and she has already lost 8 pounds!! and she’s only been doing it 1 week!! She helps me count points and watch what I choose.
I am so frustrated because I have gone completely sugar free! I have had no soda or chocolate or candy or any sort of junk food in TWO weeks!! and I have not even seen a pound of weight loss!!
What am I doing wrong!?
I am 21 (I don’t drink!!), female, and 150lb. goal weight 120lb
Your thyroid maybe out of whack. Talk to your doctor.

I know, it’s so hard. It took me 4 months to lose 10 pounds. I’ve done a lot of research, and you need to work out 5 days a week for 30min-60min a session, whatever you can work your way up to. And you need to know your heart rate too, because your power walk might not be enough for you. Best bet is to join a gym if you can afford it, they have machines that measure your heart rate. I don’t know what your mom is doing, but to lose 8 pounds in a week is a) very difficult unless you are VERY overweight or b) dangerous because your body is having to adjust too quickly. Hang in there. It’s going to take time. And your body gains muscle, so the scale might not move for a while and that’s ok too. When I first started, I didn’t lose a pound until 1 month in and I worked very hard too. You can do it if you stick with it. If you expect too much too soon you will not follow through because you will be too frustrated. The YMCA is very reasonable, only 18.00 a month where I live and they give you free personal training when you first start.

this will sound completely counterintuitive.
but I dare you to try it.
eat *more*.
I mean, double your breakfast portion, (one serving size of cereal is practically nothing…) I’d try to think of something healthy, but with more "umph" to add to beef up your lunch.
and I’d beef up your dinner somehow, depends on what sorta portions you are having.
OR ADD mini-meals halfway between breakfast and lunch, and halfway between lunch and dinner. keeping the same portions and stuff as you have now, but adding extra ones in between.
my guess is that you *MIGHT* with that much activity, be dancing on the line of having too few calories, and your body thinking that you might be starving, and it messing up your metabolism…. where if you ate a smidge more, it would be having enough that it wouldn’t feel you were starving to death, and would let go of some body fat.
I know it sounds weird. but try it for a week… I bet you’ll drop a few pounds.

do more intense exersize. jog instead of power walking. get out of breath and dont rest until your about to faint. then take a min to rest, then contine on jogging. eat 6meals a day. your not eating enough. if your mom is fatter then you, it would be easier for her to loose the weight.
warm up 5+min, strech 5+min, high intensity workout (cardio and/or strength training) for 1+hour, strech 1+hour. cardio= running, or any exersize that causes you to become out of breath. strength training= exersize that causes muscle pain. reps= the # of each time you go up and down from a exersize. high insentisy and less reps is best compared to medium intenstiy and more reps.
set= an exersize done until failure. exersize= one particular exersize. failure= phsycially can not do another rep. always do an exersize until failure. muscle soreness= muscle pain that happens the day after your workout, can last up to a week. if your muscles arnt sore the next day after your workout then make your workout harder. recovery= the time during your muscle soreness that you dont do more then light exersize, so your muscles can recover and grow.
its good to have muscle soreness, during the time you have muscle soreness, dont do more then light exersizes. once your muscle soreness has gone away, then do your high intensity workout. particular muscles may be sore and other may not be, you can workout the muscles that arnt sore, but wait to do more then light exersizes to the sore muscles until the soreness has gone.
eat healthy varieites of fruits, veggies, grains(not white grains), meats, dairy, nuts. 6+meals a day, 3 hours apart. eat protein 50+grams daily. drink 2+cups water per hour. sleep8+hours.
