Plot: Sequel to “Escape From New York”. In 2000, a huge earthquake hits Los Angeles which causes the whole city to be now situated on an island. In that year the new life-term US President, an out-spoken moralist declares that all people not conforming to the high morals he sets for the country will be deported to the Los Angeles island. Like New York, a wall is built, guards posted to stop any escapes and if sent there – you can’t return to the US. In 2013, Cuervo Jones, a terrorist invades the dreams of the President’s daughter, Utopia, and brainwashes her into stealing a device from a weapons establishment and runs with Cuervo to the island. Snake Plissken, hero of Escape From New York, is forced again to go to the island to get the device by the President (who doesn’t care if Utopia returns or not.) and he is poisoned to ensure his co-operation. Like New York, Los Angeles is now a decaying city, a hot-bed of scum and weirdos and Snake has 9 hours to find the device and Utopia, and get out before the poison kicks in.

she always seems happy to see me.
she is polite, eye contact, smiles, friendly.
she responds to texts and we talk for a decent amount
she said she was embarrassed to swim in gym because she thought she would look bad in the water
i told her i thought she was cool and she said "right back atcha"
she is really shy but texted me first once. (yes once, but still)
in gym she was happy to be on my team
some flirting is going on, at least i think. just teasing and stuff.
a couple of her friends friended me on facebook even though i dont know them
she really doesnt talk to any other guys.
many of her texts have smiley faces and exclamation points and she often asks me questions and keeps the convo going.

no:
she has ignored 1-2 of my texts (i think)
she sometimes cuts off the conversation short and stops texting back (she sometimes has a reason though, other times not)
she never approaches me first in person (only has done this once)
she seems to lose interest late in the conversation and her texts are all much shorter.

also, if it helps, we are both 16
HOWEVER: She is really shy and really nice, so its hard to tell what is really going on.

Is it necessary to chill glasses before serving in all cases?
I know it’s bad to chill glasses when serving beer, but I don’t know about any other ones.

Cocktail glasses should be chilled by filling them with ice while you are mixing the drink in the shaker then dumping it out before pouring.

I can’t think of any good reason to chill any other kind of glass. Wine and brandies needs to be served at the right temperature so chilling is bad. And highballs have ice in them so there is no much point.

How to cope when partner is away?
My partner is away for the next 6 months, I have a 3 month and a 3 year old at home. I’ll have pretty limited contact with him.
How do you cope when your partner goes away, its the first time hes been away for any length of time, and we’re having major financial problems at the moment, so as you can imagine I’m stressed.

well i can imagine how hard it is for you to be and feel alone at this time. I cant say it will be easy to be ok when u miss him alot and financially you arent as good. But you can try and spend time with your children.spend time knowing yourself do things that you enjoy if its reading, shopping etc. keep yourself busy and/or set yourself up to accomplish something to impress your partner when he returns. like loose weight, write him a journal of everyday you missed him etc. hope i helped :)

strange death of a parakeet…?
we keep our birds(2) downstairs in the basement. just yesterday we covered the cage with blankets entirely to keep them warmer, in hopes they dont freeze to death.considering it was less than 6 degrees outside.now tonight just less than hour ago i went to go check on them to feed them. there was only one bird. there was his green feathers all over the bottom of the cage. the bird left seemed unharmed. no blood, just feathers, no body, the only remains on the bottom of the cage were feathers, bird seeds, and what looked like ballled up bird seed. i think. there was absoltley no damage done to the cage. the holes or marks at all. keep in mind we do have a couple of house mice. very small no longers than few inches including the tail. is it possible that a mouse could have got into the cage and killed it. also the creepiest thing was that the were the same green feathers outside the cage less than a foot away. but how could something get into the cage leaving no damage and no blood no body and get the bird out of the cage to have feathres there? the birds aree also in somebody room who sleeps there foten. and no one has ever seen anything like snakes or big spiders? any ideas? youre guess is probably better than mine

you seem to have a lot of the newer horror movies that are all the same in my mind. not really scary just something to poke fun at. what about all the originals-(not the remakes) halloween,nightmare on elm street, friday the 13th, candy-man,land of the dead,dawn of the dead,saw….tons of them i can’t even think of. you mostly seem to have teen slasher flicks.
